I have learned a lot since my last blog. When we started Excel I didn't know what one could do with it besides list numbers. I have learned ways to format even a simple list of numbers to make it easier to read and visually pleasing. I think the coolest thing I have learned is the graphs. There are so many to choose from and many different ways to alter them to make them, pretty I guess :). I have also learned how to make graphs and charts out of given information, to move them, and resize them. This was really cool because it is so easy and gives visual information as well as making the Excel report interesting.
After checking out google.com/goog411, it reminded me of something my friend had told me about. It was something along the lines of 1800free411. I like the fact someone is offering instant connection to a company without charge. I cannot tell you how many times my mom refused to use 411 because of the "ridiculous charge, those jerks."

Blog 5
Since the last post we have finished covered powerpoint and moved to excell. I already had a somewhat extremely basic understanding (I had a class on it in tenth grade, gosh, long ago). So I have learned again the basics and the shortcuts, such as how to apply an equation to more than one box without having to retype it for every equation.
I like the idea of www.mozy.com, it would be good for someone like me, who is merely waiting for my laptop to just finally die. However, for someone like my father, who majored in computer science and makes a "life ending computer problem" fixed in about ten minutes, he might not find it as useful. It is relatively cheap and I think it is good for the average user who cannot perform computer miracles :)
